Growing up as the oldest of 6 kids, you could say I grew up coaching and training others! I grew up playing different sports, such as soccer and swimming. What I loved about swimming was the team environment, but most of my races were me vs me when it came to improving my time and efforts. CrossFit is very similar to this for me - I have the support and accountability of the community and coaches around me, and it is truly me vs me. I saw there is an option for everyone, no matter your level of fitness. As I continued to be consistent, I kept surprising myself with what I was capable of, whether it was a new gymnastic movement or the strength I built in my weightlifting.
I was tired of being tired working in jobs that did not fulfill me, and that didn't allow me to prioritize my health. I wanted to be a part of my CrossFit community that made me feel so energized. I always had a hard time leaving the gym after my workout! I decided to step into coaching full time, and the doors this has opened for me have been endless.
My purpose for coaching is to help others realize their potential, and to create a path to health and wellness that continues all their lives. We all think we "know what we should be doing" when it comes to our nutrition and fitness, and we need some accountability and support to help us along the way! That's what I aim to be as a coach. I am passionate about always learning more as the one thing I do know, I will never know everything. I love learning about people as individuals, what their story and motivations are, as well as their goals, so that we can have a plan in place to help them get the results they are looking for in, and continue to have a long, healthy life! This goes for adults as well as kids, which is why I love our CrossFit Kids classes! I love to see parents being a healthy role model for their kids, and their kids starting to focus on their health early!
