Level 2 CrossFit Coach with over 10 years of experience, I first discovered CrossFit in 2012 while training to qualify for the Boston Marathon. After multiple attempts, my wife convinced me to incorporate strength training into my weekly regimen. Initially reluctant, I committed to doing CrossFit twice a week while continuing to run three to four times weekly. After six months of this combined training, I ran my fastest marathon to date in May, successfully qualifying for Boston. Married for 37 years and a proud father to my son, Kody, I was born and raised in Vermont. My wife, Shelly, and I decided it was time to move to a warmer climate. A significant part of this transition was finding a gym that felt like home. We had been members of our gym in Vermont for over 12 years, so the search for a new community was essential. After visiting several gyms in the area, I walked into ENG, where the athletes immediately introduced themselves. At that moment, I knew I had found the place for my new CrossFit adventure. My passion for coaching stems from the ability to help athletes become fitter, stronger, and more confident both in and out of the gym. Witnessing an athlete master a new movement, feel better in their daily life, and experience both physical and mental transformations is the most rewarding aspect of coaching for me. Outside the gym, I am an avid outdoorsman with a deep passion for turkey and deer hunting, as well as fishing. Every year, I embark on an annual fishing trip to northern Quebec with my closest friend, a tradition that I cherish deeply.
