As a kid growing up being involved in multiple sports, fitness was always a passion of mine as a young adult. I would workout at home and then later joined a local gym. From there I tried a bootcamp class and was instantly hooked. I loved the high intensity fast paced environment. I later found CrossFit and it became a passion of mine. I loved the challenge and variety it had to offer. Years later, my daily interactions with members of the gym made me want to coach. I love people and helping them accomplish their goals. When I’m not at the gym I love spending time with my husband, two children, and two dogs. I also enjoy the beach and cooking.
My turning point was after having my fist child. I stopped going to the gym and working out for 2 1/2 years. I was so dedicated to being a mother that I put my health and fitness on the back burner. One morning I decided to join the gym for my physical and mental health, which lead me to bootcamp and CrossFit. I then convinced my husband to join me and we both now set a good example for our children.
Coaching is very rewarding. Seeing members accomplish their goals daily is so motivating. Whether it’s performing a new skill, PR on a lift, faster run times, or weight loss. I believe fitness is just as important for your mental health as it is for your physical health. Knowing how impactful you can be on someone’s life and journey is a very positive feeling.
